Summary

ISA Server is the top-of-the-line Internet sharing and firewall program from Microsoft. It protects your network from the Internet, and also boosts the performance of your Internet connection for internal clients. After installing ISA Server, you can use the Getting Started Wizard to perform most of the configurations necessary for the product. Further administration tasks can be performed from the ISA Management console tree, and include such things as making Web servers available to external clients, creating VPNs, and setting up clients.

The next chapter covers remote access and routing.
