Administering ISA Server

The primary way to administer ISA Server is by using the ISA Management MMC snap-in; unfortunately, no command prompt administration tools are provided. Command line fans can use scripts instead—for help with this, refer to the ISA Server SDK (and sample scripts) on the ISA Server CD-ROM.

However, the ISA Management console is a pretty nifty tool for administering ISA Server. It provides three ways of navigating administrative tasks:

  • Using the Getting Started Wizard

  • Using the taskpad (Web-like interface on the right side of the console, shown in Figure 33-28)
