Protecting Clients and Servers

It’s important to understand the different steps you can take to protect clients (end-user computers) and servers. Some common techniques apply to both, whereas other techniques apply to only the clients or only the servers. User Account Control (UAC) is a built-in mechanism that is used to separate administrative actions from regular user actions on both clients and servers. Additionally, it’s important to keep every system in an organization up to date, in order to protect the environment against newly discovered potential vulnerabilities.
