Configuring IIS Security Settings Common to Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003

Within the Internet Services Manager console (called the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager console in Windows Server 2003) you can configure additional security for IIS by modifying the Web server’s Master Properties and properties of individual Web sites, virtual directories, and Web content. The properties that affect security include the following:
