Setting Up Your Hardware

Obviously, to write video from your computer to your DV camcorder, you have to get the two connected. I'll describe how to do that here, and then follow immediately with a discussion of the process of writing back to your DV camera.

To set up your hardware

1.
Connect your camera or deck to the computer. For more information on connecting your DV camera, see Chapter 4; for more information on connecting your analog camera, see Chapter 5.

Make sure the camera or deck is in VTR, VCR, or Play mode.
