There are a number of alternatives to MyDVD, including Ulead MovieFactory, Pinnacle Studio, and Roxio Easy Media Creator. These products all cost around $100 because in addition to DVD authoring capabilities, they include full-featured video editors and tools for data backup and other functions you may not need.
In my view, at $49.99, the base version of MyDVD is the best alternative for burning DVDs with movies produced in Movie Maker. If you're considering moving on from Movie Maker to a more fully featured editor, I would recommend considering MovieFactory, Studio, or Easy Media Creator. However, if you're happy with Movie Maker, I would recommend using MyDVD to produce your DVDs.
