Copying the Source Files

You already learned that you must copy the I386 folder of the Windows XP Professional product CD to your distribution point. Put this folder at the root of the distribution point so that you can create multiple configurations without requiring separate I386 folders.

If you’re deploying Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, you must copy a second folder to the distribution point. The media set for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition contains two CDs. After copying the I386 folder from the first CD to the distribution point, copy the CMPNENTS folder from the second CD.
