Compatibility Databases

When you discover that one or more of your applications will not run correctly under Windows XP Professional, the easiest way to remediate the application is to create a custom compatibility database. In Compatibility Administrator, the steps to create a fix for an application are as follows:

  1. Under Custom Databases, select New Database, right-click to select New, and then select whether you are creating an Application Fix, AppHelp message, or Compatibility Mode.

  2. To create an Application Fix, select that option and browse to locate the application that you want to fix.
