Image Color Matching

Windows 2000 and Windows 9x have image color matching capabilities that allow applications to consistently reproduce color images on all output devices. This chapter covers the color matching functions that deal directly with the device context. There are several Win32 APIs that deal with the management of color matching that most programmers don't use and are not covered.

Image color matching is disabled by default to ensure that existing applications continue to display color images as originally intended. An application can enable image color matching for a specific device context by using the SetICMMode function.
