Chapter 9. USER INPUT FUNCTIONS

In Windows, an application receives input from the user through either the mouse or the keyboard. Predefined controls built into Windows, such as buttons, edit controls, menus, and so on, respond to the keyboard and mouse in the appropriate way by default. Some applications need to change the default keyboard or mouse actions, as in the case of custom controls. The Win32 API provides an extensive set of functions to control the keyboard and mouse.
