Minimum Requirements

Windows 2000 applications have a set of minimum requirements that must be met to be considered a true Windows 2000 application. These guidelines are set up by Microsoft and are used to verify applications to determine if they can claim they are Windows 2000 applications.

When Microsoft's logo program first came with the release of Windows 95, the requirements were pretty easy with which to comply. Now, with all the complexity of Windows 2000 applications, the requirements are very extensive and there are several exceptions to the requirements based on the type of application you are developing.
