Creating the Personal Portal Web Site

IIS 7 has been installed, but what has changed? The first important thing to understand is where the Web site files will reside on your computer. When IIS 7 is installed, it creates a folder called Inetpub. This directory is always on the root drive (that is, C:\inetpub). A subdirectory under it, called wwwroot, contains all directories that are related to a Web site. (See Figure 13-8.) The first thing to do is create a directory under wwwroot for the personal portal.
