Chapter 9. The Word Application

The Word application is a word processor program. It is capable of handling text on the character level. That is, unlike the Draw and Calc applications, single characters can have their own font, size, and style. The application also supports paragraph management with left, center, right, and justified alignment, cut and paste, load and save as well as print preview. The following screenshot depicts a classic example of the Word Application:
