System Requirements
You’ll need the following software to work through the samples in this book:
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET or Visual Studio .NET 2003
Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows Server 2003
The minimum hardware specification for development is a 450-MHz Pentium II-class processor, with a minimum of 128 MB of RAM if you’re running Microsoft Windows 2000, and 256 MB of RAM if you’re running Windows XP, Windows 2000 Server, or Windows Server 2003. You’ll need about 5 GB of free hard-disk space to install Visual Studio .NET 2003. These values are bare minimums, and your development life will be much easier on a system with ample RAM and free disk space.
