Managing the Slicer through VBA

Managing an array of data based on the CUBE FUNCTION formulas is one method of allowing the end user the ability to interact with the data. Another method is the ability to programmatically interact with the Slicer, and then let the Slicer do the work for you (through its pivot connections).
