When an alert is raised in Operations Manager you have two options available to you: either investigate the alert and manually resolve the issue, or preconfigure an auto-recovery rule to attempt a remediation.
This recipe will show you how to expand on the second choice by performing multiple defined remediation steps to resolve the issue using SCORCH. This is automating the initial steps a typical administrator will perform. The advantage over the default SCOM auto-recovery is introducing consistency in the execution by using a SCORCH Runbook.
