Supported Operating Systems
The only operating system supported for System Center Orchestrator 2012 is Windows Server 2008 R2. The only exception to this is the Runbook Designer, which can be installed on a Windows 7 system if installed as an individual feature. Windows Server 2008 R2 is 64-bit only; therefore, Orchestrator 2012 is only available as a 64-bit product. Although not required, it is recommended that the Orchestrator 2012 server be joined to an Active Directory (AD) domain. However, Orchestrator is not supported for installation on a domain controller system.
