Preparing the System Center Orchestrator 2012 Server

Before the installation of Orchestrator can be performed, the base Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system needs to be installed.

Note

Although System Center Orchestrator 2012 must be installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 server, the Active Directory version can be 2003 or 2008. The Windows Server 2008 R2 server running Orchestrator is simply a member server in Active Directory, so earlier releases of Active Directory are supported.
