History of System Center Orchestrator

System Center Orchestrator was originally a third-party product named Opalis, which Microsoft bought in 2009. The previous version of the product was named System Center Opalis Integration Server 6.3. With the 2012 version of the product, it is being rebranded as System Center Orchestrator for the first time. Although the product has a different look and feel than the previous version, the underlying engine is the same, such that policies built using Opalis Integration Server can be imported into Orchestrator.
