Creating a Custom Management Pack for Service Offerings

Although it is not required, it is a best practice to create a custom management pack to store the custom service offerings within Service Manager. This allows all of the service offerings to be stored within a single management pack, and provides additional flexibility to export, import, or delete the custom service offerings without affecting any other management packs.

To create the custom management pack, complete the following steps:

1. Launch the Service Manager console.

2. Select the Administration space.

3. Select the Management Packs folder.

4. In the Tasks pane, click the Create Management Pack link.
