Configuring the SMTP Notification Channel

The notification email channel is disabled by default. The channel needs to be configured with a destination SMTP server and enabled to be able to send notifications.

To configure the notification channel, execute the following steps:

1. Launch the Service Manager console.

2. Select the Administration space.

3. Select the Administration/Notifications/Channels folder.

Note

The folder is named Channels, but there is only a single channel predefined in the folder and no way of creating a new one in the UI. In the future, Service Manager will incorporate the ability to create different SMTP channels as well as other types of channels.

4. In the Tasks pane, select the Properties link.

5. Check the Enable ...
