Disk Subsystem Performance
Disk performance is a critical factor in the SvcMgr overall performance. Because of the volume of data that flows from the components into the various databases, data must make it into the databases quickly. However, for usability, console performance is the single most important factor. The console places a significant load on the server, primarily reading the data from the Service Manager database. If this read access is slow, console performance will be impacted and users will be dissatisfied with Service Manager.

This usability measure is critical, as there is no point in collecting all this incident, change management, relationship, and configuration data if the users and analysts cannot access it.
