Working with V2V Conversions
During a V2V conversion, an existing VMware ESX virtual machine configuration file and its associated virtual disk files are converted to Hyper-V-related formats. When conducting this type of conversion, VMM Administrators do not need administrative rights on the VMware virtual machine to complete the process because the V2V conversion is just converting files to another type of virtual machine file. Instead, the VMware virtual machine is simply turned off, and the files are copied to the VMM library for the conversion.
