Managing VMM User Roles

As discussed in Chapter 12, VMM implements a role-based access control (RBAC) model for managing administrative permissions. Using this model, each VMM Administrator and Self-Service User is assigned a role. Each role consists of an administrative profile that determines which actions a role member can perform and the scope for which virtual infrastructure objects these rights are applicable.

Four types of user roles are available in VMM, as follows:
