How to Restore a Mailbox
To recover a mailbox, the process is the same regardless of whether you are trying to recover a mailbox that is located in a DAG or in a single mailbox database. To complete such a recovery, complete the following steps:
1. While logged on to a computer as a domain user account that is a member of the Exchange Organization Management and Server Management groups, open the EMS.
2. Next, execute the following command to create a recovery database:
New-MailboxDatabase -Recovery -Name <new database name> -Server <Exchange ServerName> -EdbFilePath <path to EDB file> -LogFolderPath <path to log file folder>
