Sealing a Management Pack Via Command Line

To seal a management pack, a .SNK file is required, which stands for Strong Name Key and is a part of the .NET assembly. Included with the .NET SDK is the SN.exe.exe, which aids in the creation of the key pair.

Once a .SNK file is available, signing and sealing can happen in the Authoring Console, or using MPSEAL.exe.exe (a tool located in the SupportTools directory of the installation media).

Using SN.ESE to create a .SNK file, the -k option is required, followed by a filename.

Using MPSEAL.exe.exe requires the XML version of the management pack; in addition, any MP libraries used must be within the path for MPSEAL.exe to find.
