Process Monitoring Template
The Process Monitoring Template allows for monitoring of wanted and unwanted processes against a target group; the monitor can be configured based on the amount of spawned processes and duration, or configured if the spawned process runs for more than a certain duration of time. Performance data can also be collected, including CPU and memory metrics with definable polling cycles.
In this example, let’s assume that we don’t want Notepad.exe to run.
To create a process monitor to detect if this unwanted process is running, complete the following steps:
1. Navigate to the Authoring view, expand Authoring if not expanded, and expand and select Management Pack Templates.
