Downloading a Management Pack from the Internet

Often, the OpsMgr administrator will download the management pack for review and archiving rather than import directly from the Internet. This is a good practice to ensure correct versioning or for lab testing prior to deployment in production. In the following example, the DHCP Management Pack is demonstrated.

To download (but not import) a management pack, complete the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Administration view and select Management Packs.

2. In the Actions pane, select Download Management Packs.

3. In the Select Management Packs window, click the Add drop-down menu.

4. For this example, the Forefront Threat Management Gateway Management Pack needs to be downloaded. In the Select ...
