Test Mailbox Configuration
The Exchange 2010 Management Pack runs synthetic transactions to generate performance metrics for the Exchange 2010 infrastructure. These include Outlook Web Application, ActiveSync, and Exchange Web Services. The management pack leverages the native Exchange 2010 PowerShell test cmdlets to run the synthetic transactions. The PowerShell cmdlets that are used to generate the synthetic transactions are:
• Test-OwaConnectivity
• Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity
• Test-WebServicesConnectivity
If these commands have been used before, then a test mailbox will need to be created to allow the cmdlets to function properly.
