Preparing to Install the Exchange 2010 Management Pack
In part due to the sophistication of the Exchange 2010 Management Pack, there are more preparation steps and requirements to installing it than for most management packs.
The prerequisites for the management pack are as follows:
• All Exchange 2010 servers must use the default LocalSystem as the agent action account.
• All Exchange 2010 database availability group (DAG) member servers must have agents.
• Agent proxy must be enabled for all Exchange 2010 servers.
• The Correlation service must be installed on a computer running Windows Server 2003, 2008, or 2008 R2.
• The Correlation service must have network connectivity to the RMS, and ideally be deployed on the RMS server itself.
