Pilot Phase
The goal of the pilot phase is to roll out the production Operations Manager 2012 infrastructure and deploy a subset of agents and sites in a limited production environment. This allows the functionality to be tested in the production environment and the impacts to servers assessed. Some key issues to assess include the following:
• Alert and notification noise
• Impact of agents on managed computers
• Performance of OpsMgr servers
• Database growth
Evaluating these and other metrics ensures that the Operations Manager infrastructure is performing as expected during the design and planning sessions.
