Understanding Asset Data

Configuration Manager 2012 collects detailed asset information from the clients and stores this in the database. However, only the Central Administration Site database contains the aggregate data from all clients in the hierarchy. Primary Site Server databases contain data for the agents that they support. It is important to understand where data is stored and how it is collected to be sure that the correct data is presented.
