Understanding How Internet Clients Locate Content

A client configured for Internet-based client management is configured with the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of a Management Point accessible from the Internet. This is typically done with specific command-line options during installation, but can also be done after the agent is installed.

Note

It is important to only assign an Internet Management Point from the client’s assigned site. Assigning an Internet Management Point from a different site than the client’s assigned site is not supported.
