Getting Content to Distribution Points

For each of the content types (Windows Installer, executable, and complex), the preparation of the source, automation of the installation, and the packaging differed from one content type to the other. To get content to Distribution Points, each of the content types is treated the same.

The next step is to select the Distribution Points for the application. To support the most effective global roaming and reduce bandwidth utilization, it is important to get the content on as many Distribution Points as possible. It is almost as important to monitor the progress of content as it’s placed on Distribution Points throughout the hierarchy.
