The Management Point, Distribution Point, Fallback Status Point, and Software Update Point can all support Internet clients. Existing roles within the organization can be enabled to support Internet clients or new roles can be established, dedicated to Internet clients. How infrastructure servers are deployed largely centers on the security requirements of the organization.

Use a wild card certificate or a certificate with Subject Alternate Name configured to allow the Site Server to support both intranet and Internet clients with two unique fully qualified domain names (FQDNs).
