Operations Changes

A number of operations changes have been made in SCCM 2012 that address long-standing issues within the previous version of the product.

A few of the major operations changes include the following:

State-based alerting—SCCM 2012 now includes alerting in the console. These alerts provide status information on conditions within the SCCM infrastructure. This allows administrators to understand the current state of their environment and to receive e-mails in the event of any alerts.

Note

These alerts are not designed to replace those found in Operations Manager 2012, but rather to supplement those alerts.
