Task 1: Determine Required Instances

The organization should plan to deploy at least one instance of Virtual Machine Manager. Starting with a single instance enables the organization to scale out by adding more VM hosts and library servers. Also, having a single instance with a single database enables the organization to centrally manage the entire virtual environment.

In some cases, however, deploying multiple instances can be useful. When defining multiple instances, the project team should consider that separate instances do not integrate and do not share data.
