  • Understand package configurations and create and edit an XML configuration file.

  • Create multiple configuration files, including environment variable, SQL Server, and parent package variable configurations.

  • Configure and execute logging.

In the previous chapters, you learned how to create a package. Now it’s time to learn how to manage package execution. In this chapter, you’ll learn how package configurations can be used to develop packages that are flexible and easy to deploy and distribute. In addition, you’ll learn how to create an XML configuration file. Finally, you’ll learn how to configure and execute logging.
