Chapter III.3. Using the Query Designer
Databases are great sources of information, but retrieving the data can be a challenge. Thankfully, SQL Server 2008 includes the Query Designer — a great GUI (Graphical User Interface; pronounced GOO-ee) — that makes creating and modifying queries easy. With a little pointing and clicking, you can create queries to access, and even modify, any data in your database.
This chapter shows you how to use the Query Designer to create and edit queries. With the queries created, you can execute them to access your data, export the result set, and then save your queries.
