Chapter 7. Log Shipping

As noted in Chapter 3, log shipping is a tried-and-true method for achieving high availability for a Microsoft SQL Server database. There are two types of log shipping: you can code your own or you can use the log shipping functionality provided with the Developer or Enterprise editions of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (depending on whether you are working in a development or production environment, respectively).
