Alternative Synchronization Partners

SQL Server 2000 provides the option of using alternative synchronization partners. This option allows merge subscribers to use a different server or database to synchronize with other than the publishing server or database. If you are using named subscriptions, the subscriber must be enabled at the alternative synchronization partner and a subscription must be created identical to the original subscription at the alternative synchronization partner.
