Replication Agents
Following are three major components in transaction replication used to carry out the process of distributing data from the publisher to each subscriber:
Snapshot Agent— Prepares schema and data files to be used to synchronize new subscribers to a publication.
Log Reader Agent— Reads transactions marked for replication in the publisher's transaction log and inserts them into the distribution database.
Distribution Agent— Moves the replicated transactions from the distribution database to all subscribers of the publication.
