Using the Disabling Publishing and Distribution Wizard
To quickly remove all the distribution servers on a specific server, drop all publishers and publications using the distribution database and remove all subscriptions to the deleted publication—use the SQL Server 2000 Disable Publishing and Distribution Wizard. The Disable Publishing and Distribution Wizard disables all the publishers using the Distributor and, if possible, logs on to the publishing servers to drop the publications. The wizard also disables all the subscribers using the publications and drops the distribution databases.
