Removing Logins

Perform the following steps to modify login information:

1.
From the SQL Server Enterprise Manager, click the plus (+) sign next to the server that contains the login.
2.
Click the plus (+) sign next to the Security folder.
3.
Left-click the Logins icon. A list of logins appears in the Result pane.
4.
Right-click the name in the Result pane. From the right-mouse menu, select the Delete menu option.
5.
Select Yes from the delete confirmation dialog box. This step deletes the user from SQL Server.

NOTE

You cannot delete a login that is an object owner. You must drop the object(s) owned by the login or change the owner of the object(s). To change an object's owner, use the sp_changeobjectowner system procedure. The following ...
