Advanced Configuration Parameters

CAUTION

The following configuration parameters are considered advanced and can be seen only by turning on the show advanced options configuration option. I highly suggest leaving them alone. Microsoft has done a good job setting the default values, and you can easily hinder the performance of your SQL Server by incorrectly setting one of the advanced configuration options. If you do modify them, make sure that you fully understand the option and the overall impact of your changes!

affinity mask

The affinity mask option enables you to associate a thread to a processor and specify which processors SQL Server can use.

Minimum: 0

Maximum: 2,147,483,647

Default: 0
