Connecting to a Server

After you open the SQL Server Enterprise Manager and start SQL Server, perform the following to connect to a server.

1.
Click the plus (+) sign next to the Microsoft SQL Servers folder.
2.
Click the plus (+) sign next to the group that contains the registered server you want to connect with (usually this is the SQL Server Group).
3.
Click the plus (+) sign next to the server name.

If a connection is successfully made, server folders will appear below the server name (see Figure 6.11).
