Chapter 8. Retrieving data for a report

Reports are powerful tools that help you visualize and share data in various ways. Therefore, the first step in creating a report is getting data! Reporting Services supports a number of different data sources you can use to easily create reports on your data, no matter how and where it’s stored. After you identify where the data is stored, you provide Reporting Services with the query to use to retrieve data from each source.
