Monitoring the Report Server

Administration of a report server includes monitoring the server to ensure adequate system resources are available and operations are running smoothly and error-free. You can use built-in reports in SSMS to track the size of the Reporting Services application databases and take action to reduce the database size or add disk space as needed. You can review Reporting Services log files to monitor and troubleshoot activity on the report server. Finally, you can use performance counters to assess the impact of Reporting Services operations on server resources and to monitor trends over time.
