Refining a Report Model
If your report model is based on a SQL Server or Oracle data source, you can fine-tune the report model in the Report Designer in BI Dev Studio whether the report model was originally generated in BI Dev Studio or in the Web application for your server mode: Report Manager for native mode, or a SharePoint site for SharePoint integrated mode. Remember that the purpose of the report model is to help users build their own reports, so you should consider changes that improve the model structure to make it easier to find and recognize items to add to a report.
