Building a package consists of several steps:
Creating connection managers
Building the control flow
Establishing precedence constraints
Building the data flow
Adding in exception handling
Creating a configuration file
Deploying the package
As with any development activity, it should be understood that you save your work often and you test each change that is made.
Connection Managers define the connection strings to any objects that your package will interact with, such as files and databases. Connections are added in the Connection Managers pane at the bottom of the main design surface.
